Ashvita Café – for traditional Indian cuisine in Chennai

Located in the busy streets of Mylapore, Ashvita Café is the very traditional Indian cuisine in Chennai. A small lane on Cathedral road, leads you to this reserved place. Addressed on number 11, 2nd Street, Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai, Mylapore, Chennai, the restaurant is a typical one for family dinners and romantic hang out with your beloved. Unlike most other restaurants in Chennai, this place has a stamp of its own.

The menu has a delightful mix of various combos and platters predominately of the Indian and Chinese variety. Of all, The Indian platter is indeed the most relished one, allowing one to enjoy a complete meal. This place is definitely a treat to your taste buds.

The green outdoor seating area is relaxing and beautiful. In stark contrast is the brighter inside dining room with a less rustic and more modern feel. The place also boasts off a nice water body, with a water fall flowing through a gold leaf painted backdrop. The place is easily accessible, quietly tucked away with an art gallery. The portions of the food served are extremely sufficient for a good meal.

The ambience is simple and subtle. The place is bifurcated into indoor and out door dining, well spaced with neatly arranged tables. The food, ambience, cost, servings and service all top the list. Ashvita provides a new culinary experience for the foodies in Chennai.

Ashvita is a place where you need time, for the "not so hurried up" pace of service, and the ample time you need to park your car inside the fences of this coffee house. Good place to hang out with friends. Good food as well.
